"Whenever We Cross!" opens at 6pm on Friday 16 October in the Shourbagy Building in Downtown Cairo, as part of this year's Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival (D-CAF). Arab and Spanish artists use comics to look at borders: between countries, between times, between social worlds, and the line between reality and imagination.

The show is produced by Mazg for Culture and Arts with art direction by the artist Migo, in collaboration with Spain's Fundación Al Fanar. It grew out of an open call for comics artists that closed in September.

The exhibition runs until 1 November. Entry is free and no booking is listed. Use the Abdelkhalik Tharwat Street entrance of the Shourbagy Building, which is also the D-CAF festival hub at 165 Mohamed Farid Street. Daily opening hours have not been published, so check d-caf.org or the festival's pages before a weekday visit; the opening evening on 16 October is the surest time to find it open.
