Cairo International Art District returns to Downtown from 11 October
Art D'Égypte's sixth art district, "Alive Archive", runs from 11 October to 8 November across The Factory, Access Art Space and Kodak Passage.
11OctoberDowntown CairoThe sixth Cairo International Art District, organised by Art D'Égypte, opens in Downtown Cairo on 11 October and runs until 8 November. This year's title is "Alive Archive".
The edition treats Downtown as a living collection of memories, looking at details that are easy to miss: old buildings, worn staircases and the people who have passed through its streets. It brings site-specific installations, urban interventions and an art walk across three venues: The Factory, Access Art Space and Kodak Passage.
The district has been presented with Al Ismaelia for Real Estate Investment for six years running. Art D'Égypte is also running "Crafts Re-imagined" at Beit El Sehemy in Historic Cairo from 23 October to 8 November. Opening hours and any entry fees will be on the organiser's website.
