Sunday weather: morning fog, a Cairo high of 30 and a small chance of rain
Cairo is warm to hot by day on Sunday 25 October, with a high of 30 and a low of 20, after morning fog on roads into the city.
Sunday 25 October is warm to hot in Greater Cairo, with a high of 30°C and a low of 20°C, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority's forecast as reported by Cairo 24. Fog is expected from 4am to 9am on some roads leading into Greater Cairo and the Canal cities, and it may be thick at times.
There is about a 20% chance of light rain over scattered parts of the north coast and Lower Egypt, possibly reaching Greater Cairo. Winds of 30 to 35 km/h are expected at times over the capital. The heavier weather is far to the south and east: a 30% chance of rain, sometimes with thunder, over central and southern Sinai, the Red Sea and southern Upper Egypt, which could turn into flash floods around Halaib, Shalateen and Ras Banas.
If you drive early, leave extra time and keep your distance until the fog lifts around 9am. In Cairo a light jacket is enough for the evening, and an umbrella is optional. If you are heading to the Red Sea or Sinai today, check the latest warnings before setting off.
