The Grand Egyptian Museum is marking the first anniversary of its opening, which falls on 1 November, with a programme of shows, concerts and community activities that runs until the end of 2026, Masrawy reported on 24 October.
The centrepiece is "Eternal Sun", a light and music show that uses projection mapping and moving lights on the building's own surfaces, with live music and narration in Arabic and English, turning the Grand Hall into an interactive space that tells parts of the story of ancient Egypt. The programme also includes a concert by soprano Fatma Said and the first performances in Egypt and the Middle East by the international dance company Gala de Danza.
Dates, times and ticket prices for "Eternal Sun" have not been announced yet. If you plan a visit in November, remember that the museum's new entry prices start on 1 November, the same day as the anniversary, and book through the museum's own ticket site. Fatma Said sings on 29 October and Gala de Danza performs on 5 November, both already on sale.
