Prep certificate exam forms must be registered online by 22 October
Third-year preparatory students have until Thursday 22 October to register their exam form on the Education Ministry's online platform, then hand in the printed form at school.
Registration of the electronic exam form for the preparatory (ninth grade) certificate opened on 1 October and closes on Thursday 22 October, according to the Ministry of Education's schedule.
Students log in to the ministry's general certificates platform (moe-register.emis.gov.eg) with their unified school email and password, choose the online form service, check their name, national ID number, date of birth and school details, upload a recent personal photo that meets the platform's specifications, and approve the form together with a parent. The form is then printed and handed in at school.
If any detail is wrong, the ministry says not to approve the form: go to the school first so the data can be corrected electronically, then continue.
Families should prepare these documents for the school: the printed and approved form, the student's computerised birth certificate with copies, recent personal photos, the school fees receipt and a copy, the exam fee receipt and a copy, a copy of the guardian's national ID card, and anything else the school or education administration asks for. The amount of the exam fee was not given in the ministry guidance we read, so check it with the school before paying. Leaving registration to the last days risks queues at school, so aim to finish before 22 October.
