The Agricultural Museum in Dokki and the Egypt Flower Show in its grounds are free to enter this weekend. The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation opened both without tickets on Thursday as part of the October victory celebrations, and said free entry continues on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October.
The flower show is open from 9am to 9pm. It covers about 15,000 square metres, with more than 80 exhibitors, among them large companies and specialist nurseries, showing ornamental plants and garden design alongside art and entertainment activities.
The museum halls are open from 9am to 3pm and hold collections that trace the history of farming in Egypt through different eras.
The first free day drew a large crowd, including families, school trips and youth groups, so earlier in the day is likely to be quieter.
