Rain on the coast and dusty winds on Wednesday, Cairo cooler from Thursday
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects rain on the Mediterranean coast from Wednesday and a drop of two to three degrees from Thursday, with Cairo's high at 27 to 28.
Days will stay warm in Cairo on Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs around 30 degrees and some cloud, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority's forecaster Manar Ghanem said on Extra News.
An upper-level low will bring rain of varying strength to the Mediterranean coast on Wednesday, continuing on Thursday. On Wednesday winds may raise sand and dust and cut visibility, mainly in the Western Desert and on the northwest coast, including parts of Matrouh.
From Thursday temperatures drop by two to three degrees, with Greater Cairo's high at 27 to 28. Lows in Cairo will be 19 to 20, and around 17 in the new cities. The chance of rain reaching parts of the Delta and Greater Cairo may rise on Friday, though the coast will see most of it.
If you are out early or late, take a light jacket: mornings and nights will feel cooler from Thursday, especially in the new cities. Drivers heading to the north coast or the Western Desert on Wednesday should allow for lower visibility, and the authority advises checking its daily bulletin, as autumn weather is changing quickly.
