The live-action Street Fighter reached Egyptian cinemas on Thursday 15 October, one day before its US release, according to elCinema's listing. Kitao Sakurai directs from a script by Dalan Musson.

The cast includes Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, David Dastmalchian, Olivier Richters, Eric Andre, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Vidyut Jammwal, Joe Anoa'i and Callina Liang. The story follows two street fighters who reunite after being recruited for the World Warrior Tournament and run into a conspiracy that turns them against each other.

The film is in English, runs 108 minutes and carries a 16+ rating from Egypt's censors, so younger teenagers will not be let in. Showtimes are on each cinema's own app or website; the same week also brought Whalefall and the family film The Magic Faraway Tree.
