Shakira moves her Giza Pyramids concert again, now to 2 April 2027
Shakira's concert at the Giza Pyramids, due on 28 November, will now take place on 2 April 2027, the singer told her Egyptian fans on Instagram on 31 October.
Shakira has postponed her concert at the Giza Pyramids for a second time. The show, set for Saturday 28 November, will now take place on Friday 2 April 2027, the Colombian star told her fans in Egypt in an Instagram Story on 31 October. Several Egyptian outlets, among them CairoScene and Cairo24, reported the new date the same day.
She gave "the current circumstances in the region" as the reason and said the safety and wellbeing of the audience come first. "It truly breaks my heart that we have to wait a little longer to be together," she wrote, adding that the concert is still going ahead and that singing in front of the Pyramids is one of her dreams.
This is the second change of date. The concert was first announced for 7 April 2026 as the Cairo stop of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour. In March the organisers moved it to 28 November, also citing the situation in the region, and said a weekend date would suit fans travelling from abroad. In August the promoter said the November show would go ahead as planned, and tickets were still on sale. It would be her first concert in Egypt since 2007.
The new date, 2 April 2027, falls on a Friday in early spring, when evenings at the plateau are mild, and well before the summer heat.
If you already hold a ticket, keep it for now. When the show moved in March, existing tickets stayed valid for the new date and refunds were offered through the seller, Ticket Egypt. The details for this second move, whether tickets carry over to 2 April and how to ask for a refund if you cannot make it, had not been published by the evening of 31 October. Watch for the organisers' announcement and the seller's account page before you make any decision, and do not buy from resellers in the meantime. We will add the ticket terms here as soon as they are out.
