MOMOS brings his stand-up special TRAUMA to Cairo Jazz Club on 14 November

MOMOS is bringing his comedy special TRAUMA to Cairo. The comedian plays Cairo Jazz Club in Agouza on Saturday 14 November, and the ticket page promises stories and sharp observations about family, relationships, culture and the everyday chaos most of the audience will recognise.

The night is part of the Wagef Stand Up Comedy Roadtour, a run of shows brought to the region by MBC Group. The same special is also touring the Gulf this month, with dates in Riyadh and Jeddah later in November. Cairo gets it first.

Cairo Jazz Club has become one of the city's busiest rooms for stand-up as well as music, and a show there has its own rules, which the club applies at the door. Entry is for people aged 21 and over, with a physical ID checked on arrival. Entry is for couples or mixed groups only, and door selection applies. Sunglasses and slippers are not allowed, and neither is any violent behaviour or harassment. Only valid QR code holders get in, and tickets cannot be refunded or passed to someone else once paid for.

Tickets are sold on Tickets Marche by seat type. Chairs are EGP 1,275, benches EGP 1,530, and VIP benches, at EGP 1,785, are already sold out. Tables are sold as a group, with a table of three at EGP 2,040 and a larger table at EGP 2,550 a person, as listed on the page. A seating layout is linked from the ticket page.

If you plan to go, buy for the whole group at once, since the couples and mixed groups rule is applied at the door, and bring the ID that matches your ticket. The ticket page does not give a start time, so check it again on the day.
