Trevor Noah is coming to Egypt for the first time. The South African comedian and former host of The Daily Show will close UTH Festival 2026 with an on-stage conversation at the Grand Egyptian Museum, the organisers announced on the festival's ticket page. The festival runs over two days, Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November.
UTH Festival is now in its third edition. Around the headline conversation, the organisers promise two days of talks, music, film, fashion, food and AI across two stages and three "districts" named Fashion, Music and Taste. They expect about 10,000 people, with speakers from Egypt and abroad. The festival's tracks cover fashion, money, the creator economy, film and music, food and sport. There will be screenings of short film finalists, new artists in the Music District and food brands showing what they are working on next. This year's theme is "Work in Progress".
The setting is part of the draw. The Grand Egyptian Museum, at El Remayah Square on the Cairo to Alexandria Desert Road, has become one of the city's main venues for big nights since it opened, from orchestral concerts to Fatma Said's film music evening this week. A talk-led festival with a global name on the closing stage is a new kind of event for the museum.
Passes are on sale through Tickets Marche's UTH page. The first wave of the weekend pass costs EGP 450 and covers both days. A pass admits one named person, and the name is checked at the door. Sessions are first come, first served: the pass gets you into the festival, not a guaranteed seat in a particular talk, so arrive early for the ones you care about, Trevor Noah's above all. One-day passes are valid only for the day bought, the QR pass can be shown on your phone (a screenshot is accepted), and passes cannot be refunded.
Getting there: drive out on the Cairo to Alexandria Desert Road towards El Remayah Square and enter the museum through Gate 2. The full session schedule and the other speakers have not been published yet; the organisers say the agenda is coming, and first-wave prices usually rise as the date gets closer.
