New Cairo: Dubai's Salmontini Le Bistro opens at Mivida Walk
The salmon-led French bistro from Dubai is opening at The Place in Mivida Walk, with smoked salmon at breakfast, brunch and dinner, plus sushi and seafood.

Salmontini Le Bistro, a Dubai name built around salmon, is opening its first Egyptian branch at The Place in Mivida Walk, New Cairo, SceneEats reported on 3 November. It is one of a steady line of Gulf and international restaurant brands choosing New Cairo's walkable compounds for their first step into Egypt this autumn.
The kitchen describes itself as a French bistro with Japanese and Mediterranean touches. Hand-sliced smoked salmon is the signature, and it runs through the whole day: it turns up at breakfast, in brunch dishes such as salmon Benedict, and again on the dinner menu. Beside it are burrata and avocado toast, lobster rolls, entrecote with herb butter and frites, and a crispy sea bass. A separate Japanese section covers maki, nigiri and sashimi.
The brand has a longer story than the bistro. Salmontini Le Resto was founded by Hussni Ajlani in Downtown Beirut and grew into one of the best-known seafood restaurant names in Dubai, known for salmon, meat and sushi. The more casual bistro version opened in Dubai's financial district, DIFC, in November 2022, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner around the same salmon dishes. The Mivida branch follows that bistro format rather than the bigger Resto.
Mivida Walk has become one of New Cairo's busiest strips for eating out, and the arrival adds a seafood-first, all-day address to a part of the city better known for burgers, Italian and coffee spots. It sits a short drive from the Fifth Settlement and the Ring Road side of New Cairo.
The opening date, hours and prices have not been announced in what SceneEats published, and the restaurant has not yet posted an Egyptian menu with prices. If you are planning a visit, The Place is inside Mivida Walk in New Cairo; check the restaurant's own channels for its first day and booking before you go, since new openings in the compound often start with soft-opening hours.
