Max Amini sells out six New Capital shows and adds one more on 18 November

Max Amini's Cairo run has grown again. Every one of his six shows at the St. Regis in the New Capital, an early and a late show on each of 12, 13 and 14 November, is now marked sold out on Tickets Marche, and a seventh date has been added: Wednesday 18 November at 5pm, at the same theatre, Teatro Al Assema inside the hotel.

When we first listed the run in October, a few of the late shows still had seats. The extra date is the only way left to see him on this visit. The shows are presented by Abstraction Media, ACUD, Tickets Marche and Live Nation.

Amini is a Los Angeles based stand-up who started out on the city's comedy scene in 2002 and now headlines theatres around the world. His shows lean on family, culture and the gap between the Middle East and the West, which is why his tours sell so quickly in Arab cities.

For the new show, doors open at 4pm and the comedy starts at 5pm, so leave early: the New Capital is a long drive from most of Cairo on a weekday afternoon. Nobody under 13 is allowed in, and tickets cannot be refunded. There are nine tiers on Tickets Marche, from EGP 1,400 for the cheapest seats up to EGP 12,750 at the top, and the page includes a tier called Roast Free, sold as a prime seat where the comedian will not pick on you from the stage. Look at the seating layout on the ticket page before you choose, and book soon if you want a particular tier, as the first six shows show how fast they go.
