Ramadan 2027: Asmaa Galal leads Miss Hanaa, a 15-episode family comedy
TVision has signed the cast of Miss Hanaa for Ramadan 2027: Asmaa Galal, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Sara Abdelrahman and more, written by Eyad Saleh and directed by Salma El Kashef. Filming starts in the coming days.
The Ramadan 2027 line-up has a new family comedy. Miss Hanaa, produced by Tarek El Ganainy's company TVision, has signed its full main cast, filfan reported on Wednesday, and the crews are getting ready to start filming in the coming days.
Asmaa Galal leads the cast, with Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Sara Abdelrahman, Fedra, Sama Ibrahim, Ahmed Radwan and Donna Emam. A group of child actors will join the series one by one as filming goes on. The series runs to 15 episodes, the shorter Ramadan format, and is described as a social family comedy. No more of the plot has been revealed, beyond what the title suggests: a story built around a woman the children call Miss Hanaa.
The writer is Eyad Saleh, who has worked with El Ganainy before on some of the producer's best-known recent hits: the football film El Harifa, the film Mahmoud El Tany and the series Fakret El Saher. Behind the camera is Salma El Kashef, directing a television drama for the first time.
Miss Hanaa joins a crowded Ramadan 2027 season that is already taking shape months ahead, with big names such as Mohamed Ramadan's Eshmawy and Ahmed El Awady's Sultan El Deeb announced in recent weeks. A 15-episode comedy usually airs in one half of the month, though the channel and the half have not been named yet.
For viewers, that means a lighter option in a season usually heavy with crime and action dramas. The channel, platform and air dates have not been announced; they normally come closer to Ramadan, which is expected to begin in early February 2027.
