MG raises prices in Egypt by up to EGP 60,000; MG 5 now from EGP 890,000

MG's new October price list in Egypt adds EGP 15,000 to 60,000 to most models, Masrawy reported from the list issued by Al Mansour Automotive, the brand's exclusive agent. The smallest rises are on the MG 5, now EGP 890,000 for the standard car and EGP 990,000 for the top trim, and on the MG ZS Plus (EGP 1.165 million) and the top MG GT (EGP 1.175 million), each up EGP 15,000.

The G50 Plus (EGP 1.325 million), MG One (EGP 1.425 million), RX5+ (EGP 1.475 million), HS (EGP 1.575 million, or EGP 1.65 million as a hybrid) and the MG 7 Trophy (EGP 1.75 million) each go up EGP 25,000. The biggest jump is on the RX9, up EGP 60,000 to EGP 1.96 million. The Cyberster sports car stays at EGP 2.85 million, and the base GT and the first MG 7 trim are no longer on the list.

If you have a reservation or a quote from before the change, ask the showroom in writing which price applies to your car. Compare the official list price with what dealers ask: earlier this week dealers were adding money on top of the official RX9 price.
