Free measles and rubella jabs for children from 25 October
The Health Ministry's national measles and rubella campaign starts on 25 October and runs for three weeks, for children from 9 months to 10 years, free of charge.
Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population will start a national vaccination campaign against measles and rubella on 25 October, the ministry said. The campaign runs for three weeks and covers children from 9 months to 10 years old.
The vaccine is free during the campaign, the ministry said, and it has asked parents to make sure their children are vaccinated in that period. It has also reminded health teams of the rules for storing and moving vaccines at the right temperature.
Parents with questions can call the ministry's hotline, 105. The ministry has not yet published the full list of vaccination points or the daily hours, so call the hotline or ask your nearest health unit before going, and take your child's vaccination card with you.
