Egypt's vehicle market sold 135,445 cars, buses and commercial trucks between January and August 2026, up 25.7% on the 107,700 sold in the same eight months of 2025, according to figures from the Automotive Marketing Information Council (AMIC) reported by Masrawy.

Passenger cars still make up most of the market: 101,492 were sold, up 22% from 83,101. Commercial truck sales rose 22.7% to 21,852, and buses grew fastest, up more than 78% to 12,101.

For buyers, the numbers show a market that is moving again. The council's figures do not include prices, so compare the official price list of each brand with what dealers are asking before you pay.
