Tuesday weather: morning fog, a Cairo high of 27 and a cool night
The Meteorological Authority expects a warm autumn day in Greater Cairo on Tuesday 20 October, with a high of 27 and a low of 18, and fog early in the morning.
Tuesday 20 October brings more of the same autumn pattern to Greater Cairo, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority's forecast reported by Al-Dostor: warm by day, cool at night and early in the morning. Cairo and the Delta should reach a high of 27 degrees, with a low of 18.
Fog is expected between 4am and 8am on some roads in and around Greater Cairo, the Canal cities and north Upper Egypt, and it can cut visibility, especially on agricultural roads, highways and roads near water. Light rain is possible in places on the northern coast and in the north of the Delta, and winds may pick up at times in the evening and at night.
If you drive early, leave a little earlier, slow down in fog and keep your distance. A light jacket is worth taking for the evening, when the temperature drops towards 18. Further south it stays warmer: up to 33 in south Upper Egypt.
