Egyptians abroad can now get national ID cards at some missions
Committees issuing and renewing national ID cards have started work at Egyptian missions in Jordan, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and others to follow.
The Cabinet's Media Center said on Friday that committees for issuing, renewing and updating national ID cards have begun working at Egyptian diplomatic missions in Jordan, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The committees are run by the Foreign Ministry with the Interior Ministry's Civil Registry Sector. The Cabinet said they will next visit Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Lebanon, France, Italy and Greece, without giving dates.
Egyptians abroad are asked to contact their embassy or consulate to find out the documents needed and to book an appointment. Fees were not announced.
