The Chamber of Travel and Tourism Companies has issued Circular No. 192 of 2026, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, setting how pilgrims on the 2027 tourism Hajj waiting lists can be moved up when a registered pilgrim gives up a place.

Companies must submit either a waiver notarised at the Real Estate Registry (Al Shahr Al Aqari), or have the citizen give up the place in person at the ministry's General Administration of Religious Tourism in the New Administrative Capital. The ministry said it will not accept waivers submitted any other way.

The circular says the steps must be completed within the set timelines but the report does not list the dates. Pilgrims on the lists should check with their tourism company.
