Giza's Khufu's makes the World's 50 Best extended list at No. 97
The Egyptian restaurant by the Giza Pyramids is one of two new Middle East entries on the 51 to 100 list, announced ahead of the 4 November ceremony in Lima.
Khufu's, the Egyptian restaurant on the edge of the Giza Pyramids site, is No. 97 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2026 extended list, which ranks places 51 to 100. The list was published on 21 October, ahead of the awards ceremony in Lima, Peru, on 4 November, where the top 50 will be named.
It is one of two new entries from the Middle East this year, alongside FZN in Dubai at No. 88. The ranking comes from the votes of more than 1,100 chefs, food writers and other restaurant experts. In February, Khufu's was named No. 1 on Middle East & North Africa's 50 Best Restaurants 2026, the first restaurant in Egypt to take that place.
The kitchen is led by executive chef Mostafa Seif, who won Top Chef Arabia in 2017. It cooks contemporary Egyptian food built on classic dishes, with a separate vegetarian menu, and is part of the Pier 88 group.
Khufu's is in Nazlet El-Semman, Al Haram, inside the perimeter of the Giza Pyramids, with views of the pyramids. Tables are booked through khufus.com or on +20 10 8005 8888; the menu is on the same site. The ceremony on 4 November is streamed live on The 50's YouTube channel at 8pm Lima time, which is 3am on 5 November in Cairo once winter time starts.
