Friday forecast: morning mist, slight chance of rain in Cairo, high of 30
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority expects autumn weather on Friday 9 October, with mist on roads early in the morning, rain on the north coast and a small chance of light rain reaching Greater Cairo.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority forecasts autumn conditions across the country on Friday 9 October: warm to hot during the day in the north, Greater Cairo and northern Upper Egypt, very hot in southern Upper Egypt, and cool at night and in the early morning.
Mist is expected between 4 and 8 in the morning on roads to and from the north of the country, including Greater Cairo, the Canal cities and central Sinai, and it may be thick in places.
Light rain that may turn moderate at times is forecast, with a chance of about 30 percent, for parts of the north-west coast and the northern Delta. A similar chance of evening rain, possibly with thunder, applies to central and southern Upper Egypt, the Red Sea governorate and south and central Sinai. For Greater Cairo the chance of very light rain is about 10 percent. Winds will be active in most areas.
Expected highs and lows: Cairo 30 and 20, Alexandria 27 and 19, Sharm El Sheikh 32 and 25, Aswan 39 and 23.
