The Egypt Coffee Festival is back for a second edition on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 October at Kamelizer Spaces in District 5, on the Cairo to Ain Sokhna road. This year's theme is "Common Grounds", and the organisers describe two days of coffee, culture, craft and community.

The programme has a Roaster Village with local and international names including Mestila, La Cimbali and Brown Nose, plus workshops, talks, tasting sessions, a barista competition called Crush the Rush and a design competition run with SYNC, according to the ticket page and Enterprise's listing. The venue has parking, food stalls and toilets.

TicketsMarché lists a one-day ticket at 500 pounds, covering the expo area, the talks stage and the day's activities, a General pass at 800 pounds that adds the networking area, competition entry and a coffee gift, and VIP at 5,000 pounds with a lounge and brunch. Cheaper group options for five people are also listed. Enterprise gives the hours as 9am to 8pm each day; the ticket page does not list them.

Book on TicketsMarché before you go. Workshops and masterclasses are not included automatically: they need registration in advance, whatever your ticket, and places are limited. The festival posts the registration details on its Instagram account, @coffeefestivalegypt.
