Apple's new Apple TV 4K and HomeView: no Egypt price or date yet
Apple has unveiled a new Apple TV 4K, a home screen called HomeView and a second HomePod mini, but Egypt is not on any launch list and no Egyptian price has been announced.
Apple announced three new home products on 13 October. The new Apple TV 4K runs on the A19 chip, which Apple says brings up to 50 percent faster processing and up to twice the graphics speed of the last model, adds three microphones for hands-free "Hey Siri" and a conversational Siri AI. It costs $299 in the US, with pre-orders in 30 countries and regions and sales from 13 November.
HomeView is a new 7-inch touch screen for the home, for music, FaceTime, recipes, home cameras and smart home controls, at $299 in the US. Apple lists it for Australia, Canada, India, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, the UK and the US only, from 13 November. The new HomePod mini costs $149 and reaches stores on 30 October in more than 20 countries and regions.
Apple's announcements do not mention Egypt or the Middle East, and Siri AI launches in English in eight countries, Egypt not among them. Apple's Egypt website still shows the previous Apple TV 4K, with the A15 chip, and has no HomePod page.
If you are buying an Apple TV in Egypt now, the one Apple lists for Egypt is the earlier A15 model; Apple has not announced when the new one will reach Egypt or what it will cost in pounds. Apple's Egypt site has a "Find a retailer" page for its authorised sellers.
