Ramadan 2027: Ahmed El Sakka and Ahmed Ghazy start work on Ketf fi Ketf
A photo from the first meeting shows preparations under way for Ketf fi Ketf, the Ramadan 2027 series that pairs Ahmed El Sakka with Ahmed Ghazy for the first time.
Work has started on Ketf fi Ketf ("Shoulder to Shoulder"), the series Ahmed El Sakka will lead in the Ramadan 2027 drama season. A photo from a first meeting, published on Wednesday evening, shows El Sakka with his co-star Ahmed Ghazy and members of the team as preparations begin, FilFan reported.
The series is written by Mohab Tarek, directed by Shady Abdel Salam and produced by Al Sabbah. It is the first time El Sakka and Ghazy have worked together, as Misr Connect noted when the pairing was first reported in September. The two come from different generations of Egyptian screen: El Sakka has been one of the country's best known action stars for more than two decades, while Ghazy is one of the younger faces audiences have come to know in recent Ramadan seasons.
No story, episode count or broadcast channel has been announced yet, and the rest of the cast is still to be named. Ramadan series are usually filmed through the winter, with casting news arriving over the coming weeks.
El Sakka has a busy year ahead. He has started filming the thriller Hiroshima, written by Ayman Bahgat Kamar and directed by Ahmed Nader Galal, with May Omar, Bassem Samra, Sherine Reda, Hanan Motawie and Bayoumi Fouad in the cast. Director Tarek El Eryan has also said El Sakka joins Welad Rizk 4 in a new role. His most recent film in cinemas was Khally Balak Men Nafsak with Yasmine Abdel Aziz, directed by Moataz El Touny.
For viewers, Ketf fi Ketf joins a Ramadan 2027 line-up that is already taking shape, alongside Mohamed Ramadan's Eshmawy, Ahmed El Awady's Sultan El Deeb and Asmaa Galal's Miss Hanaa. The channel and the full cast should follow as filming gets going; until then, nothing about the plot has been made public.
