Nissan Egypt raises Sunny and Magnite prices by up to EGP 63,000

Nissan Egypt has put up the prices of its two locally assembled models, the Sunny saloon and the Magnite crossover, in its November price list. The 2027 versions now cost between EGP 40,000 and EGP 63,000 more than they did, according to the new figures published on Wednesday morning by Masrawy and Al Mal.

The Sunny, the cheapest Nissan on sale in Egypt, now starts at EGP 820,000 for the AT Base, up EGP 55,000 from EGP 765,000. The AT Mid is EGP 858,000, about EGP 58,000 more than before, and the top AT Super Saloon is EGP 898,000 after a rise of EGP 63,000. That leaves the best-equipped Sunny just short of EGP 900,000.

The Magnite goes up by as much as EGP 60,000. The entry Visia is now EGP 860,000, up from EGP 820,000. The Accenta is EGP 910,000, the Tekna EGP 940,000 (it was EGP 880,000) and the top Tekna+ EGP 960,000 (it was EGP 900,000). Every Magnite version now costs more than the most expensive Sunny.

Nothing changes under the bonnet. The Sunny keeps its 1.5 litre four-cylinder engine with 108 hp and a four-speed automatic, uses about 6.9 litres per 100 km in normal driving, and has a 490 litre boot, 15-inch wheels, two front airbags, ABS and rear parking sensors with a camera. Its warranty is five years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first, with five years of free roadside assistance. The Magnite has a 1.0 litre turbocharged three-cylinder with 99 hp and 152 Nm, a CVT automatic gearbox and, by Nissan's figure, about 17.9 km per litre.

This is not the first rise this autumn. Masrawy reported in early October that Magnite prices had gone up by as much as EGP 32,000, and on 23 October we reported that 33 models from eight brands had become more expensive in Egypt.

If you are shopping for either car, the new list prices are the ones dealers will quote from now on. If you already paid a deposit at the old price, ask the dealer in writing whether your price is held: Nissan Egypt has not said publicly how existing bookings are treated. The figures are list prices, so ask for the full cost of the car on the road, with registration and insurance, before you sign.
