Giza Plateau: Gourmet Egypt opens a grab-and-go stop at Khufu Station
The grocer now sells ready meals, drinks and snacks at Khufu Station near the Pyramids, as part of Orascom Pyramids Projects' push to improve the visit.
Gourmet Egypt, the Cairo grocery and deli chain, has opened an outlet at Khufu Station on the Giza Plateau, SceneEats reported. It sells ready-made food, drinks and grab-and-go snacks to people visiting the Pyramids.
The opening is part of Orascom Pyramids Projects' wider work on the visitor experience at the site, which has added new places to eat and rest around the Plateau.
If you are taking family or guests to the Pyramids, it means you can pick up water, coffee or a light meal between stops instead of carrying everything from home. Opening hours and prices have not been announced yet.
