Starlight, a new electronic music festival created by Serbia's EXIT, takes place in Egypt for the first time from 8 to 11 October. The two main nights are Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October on the Giza Plateau, with the pyramids as the backdrop. EXIT says the stages are set up on a designated site near the monuments, not on the monuments themselves.

The festival is produced with P+US, the electronic music platform of Egyptian events company Venture Lifestyle. Acts announced for the main nights include Charlotte de Witte and Vintage Culture, alongside international, regional and local names across several stages.

According to CairoScene, a warm-up party is held on Thursday 8 October at ZED Park with Pete Tong among the DJs, and a farewell party follows on Sunday 11 October.

Line-ups have changed between announcements, so check the organisers' channels for final set times and ticket availability before you go.
