4LFA's new EP Diwan turns to poetry and philosophy over six tracks

Egyptian rapper 4LFA has a new EP, Diwan: six tracks written as one concept piece that leans on poetry and philosophy rather than the usual swagger of the genre, CairoScene reported on 19 October.

Track titles named in the report include '90s Fever', 'Sha'er El Hob W El Watan', 'Ma'dan' and 'Ralph Lauren Flow', a spread that runs from nostalgia to a love-and-homeland theme in the style of classic Arabic poetry.

The report does not give a label or list the other two tracks. Look for Diwan under 4LFA's name on the usual streaming apps; it is a short listen, six tracks, best played in order since it was made as one piece.
